Our cancellation and refund terms for Umrah and Hajj packages

Overview

At Noor Umrah Travels, we understand that circumstances may change and you may need to cancel your booking. This Refund Policy explains the charges that apply and the process for requesting a refund.

We encourage you to read this policy carefully before making a booking. By booking with us, you agree to these refund terms.

Important: All deposits are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.

Cancellation Charges - Umrah Packages

The following cancellation charges apply to standard Umrah packages:

28 - 41 days 75% of total cost 25% refunded
14 - 27 days 90% of total cost 10% refunded
Less than 14 days 100% of total cost No refund
No show 100% of total cost No refund

Note: The cancellation date is the date we receive your written cancellation request, not the date you decide to cancel.

Hajj Package Cancellation

Due to the limited availability and high demand for Hajj packages, different cancellation terms apply:

60 - 90 days 50% of total cost 50% refunded
30 - 59 days 75% of total cost 25% refunded
15 - 29 days 90% of total cost 10% refunded
Less than 15 days 100% of total cost No refund

Hajj Visa: Once a Hajj visa has been issued, no refund is available for the visa fee portion regardless of cancellation timing.

How to Cancel Your Booking

To cancel your booking, please follow these steps:

Submit Written Request

Email your cancellation request to info@noorumrahtravels.co.uk with your booking reference number.

Include Required Information

Provide your full name, booking reference, departure date, and reason for cancellation.

Receive Confirmation

We will acknowledge your cancellation within 48 hours and confirm the applicable charges.

Refund Processing

Any applicable refund will be processed within 14-30 business days.

Important: Verbal cancellation requests (by phone) are not accepted. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

Refund Method

  • Refunds are processed using the same payment method used for the original booking
  • Card refunds will be credited to the same card used for payment
  • Bank transfer refunds require your bank account details
  • Cash payments will be refunded by bank transfer or cheque

Refund Deductions

The following may be deducted from your refund:

  • Applicable cancellation charges (as per the tables above)
  • Any third-party fees already incurred (airline penalties, visa fees, etc.)
  • Payment processing fees (if applicable)

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

block Administration Fees - Processing and handling charges
block Special Requests - Pre-arranged services already confirmed

Cancellation by Us

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel your booking. If we cancel your booking, you will be entitled to:

Full Refund: 100% of all money paid, including deposit

Alternative Package: Transfer to a comparable package at no extra cost (subject to availability)

Credit Note: Full value credit for future bookings (valid for 12 months)

Reasons we may cancel include:

  • Insufficient bookings to operate the package
  • Safety concerns in the destination
  • Government travel restrictions
  • Supplier or airline cancellations

Force Majeure

Force majeure refers to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

public Natural disasters
coronavirus Pandemics or epidemics
gavel War or civil unrest
warning Terrorist incidents
flight_takeoff Airport closures
policy Government actions

In force majeure situations:

  • We will make every effort to offer alternative arrangements
  • Refunds may be limited to recoverable costs from suppliers
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers force majeure events

Travel Insurance

Strongly Recommended

We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover. This can protect you financially if you need to cancel for reasons such as:

  • Illness or injury (yourself or family member)
  • Bereavement
  • Jury service or court summons
  • Redundancy
  • Home emergency
  • Passport or visa issues

When choosing travel insurance, ensure it covers:
